Job summary

Adoration Home Health in Glasgow, KY is seeking a passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our home health team on a part-time basis. You'll provide patient-centered, one-on-one therapy in patients' homes and coordinate with caregivers to maximize functional communication.

Requirements include a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, an active state license, and CPR/BLS certification; a minimum of one year as an SLP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 home-based speech-language therapy with patients.
• Assess and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy strategies and progress.
• Document progress notes and visit documentation per policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
