Job summary

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for per diem coverage at our rural Mid-Hudson Valley campus. The role involves evaluating, treating, documenting in EMR, and collaborating with staff to support patients’ communication goals.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited SLP program, NYS license in good standing, and prior therapy experience in medical settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• 1 year of experience in a therapist capacity in hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility preferred.
• Must possess a current NYS license and maintain an active license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in Speech Language Pathology evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.
• Maintain positive working relationships with facility staff.
• Create and maintain a warm, calm environment throughout the facility.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Provide dependable, regular per diem coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate competence in Speech Language Pathology evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with facility staff members
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Provide dependable, regular per diem coverage

Requirements:
