Job summary

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury in New York is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for Per Diem coverage. You will evaluate, treat, and document therapy sessions, and collaborate with a caring team to support patient goals.

The ideal candidate holds a NYS license, has a background in hospital or skilled nursing settings, and can provide dependable per diem coverage with strong communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Speech Language Pathology.
• 1 year of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred.
• Possess a current, unencumbered NYS license and maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in Speech Language Pathology evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with facility staff members
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Provide dependable, regular per diem coverage
