Job summary

Ro Health, LLC is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist for a school-based role in the Greater Bakersfield area. This in-person position serves pre-K through 12 students at a single site with a Monday–Friday schedule and an ASAP start date.

Qualifications

• Minimum SLP experience in school settings.
• Current SLP license in California in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification and compliance as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders across ages.
• Use tests, observations, and interviews for diagnosis information.
• Create individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide therapy for articulation, fluency, language delays, and disorders.
• Counsel individuals and families on communication disorders and progress.
• Train and integrate assistive communication technologies where appropriate.
• Screen for risk and implement preventive measures.

Overview:

• Setting: in-person, school
• Schedule: M - F
• $90/hour+ for qualified SLPs
• Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
• Use standardized tests, observations, and interviews to gather information for diagnosis.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, setting specific and measurable goals tailored to the needs of each client.
• Provide therapy to individuals with speech and language disorders, including articulation disorders, fluency disorders, language delays, and language disorders.
• Provide counseling and support to individuals and their families, addressing emotional and social aspects of communication disorders
• Integrate and train individuals in the use of assistive technologies that can enhance communication and daily living
• Conduct screenings to identify individuals at risk for speech and language disorders and implement preventive measures

Qualifications:

• Relevant SLP experience
• Current CA state SLP license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• State and contract-specific compliance requirements
