Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology or ASHA-approved equivalent.
• ASHA CCC or CFY eligibility to participate as CFY.
• Licensed or eligible for state licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment.
• Establishes a plan of care.
• Provides care per physician orders and plan of care.
• Assesses treatment effectiveness and adjusts plan.
• Plans for patient discharge and communicates with patient and family.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Contributes to department budgeting and cost management.
• Provides education to patients and families about needs.
• Ensures safety and compliance with standards.
• Leads and coordinates staff and interns.
• Participates in quality improvement processes and hospital initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
