Requirements include CCC-SLP and Texas licensure, a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and proficiency with clinical documentation software. HIPAA compliance and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP certification and Texas license required.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Proficiency with clinical documentation systems and software.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy laws.
• Experience handling confidential patient information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills to explain procedures and plans clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech therapy services per physician orders and Plan of Care.
• Design and implement evidence-based, patient-tailored exercises and activities.
• Provide counseling and support to patients and families throughout treatment.
• Establish measurable goals and track patient progress and challenges.
• Ensure proper setup, use, and sterilization of therapy equipment per safety protocols.
• Review patient records before sessions to tailor treatment approach.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and stay current.
