Job summary

Affinity Therapy Services seeks a dedicated Speech Therapy Assistant to work under a licensed SLP. The SLPA will provide direct treatment, support clients in achieving communication goals, and assist with therapy-related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities include direct therapy, documentation, collaboration with families and teams, and material preparation in a comfortable clinic setting. NC licensure is required; prior SLPA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or Bachelor's in related field with training.
• Licensure: Current SLPA license issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners.
• Experience: Prior SLPA experience preferred but not required.

Job Summary:
Our highly rated, company isseeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapy Assistant to join our team. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will provide direct treatment services, support clients in achieving communication goals, and assist with administrative tasks related to therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Direct Therapy Support:
2. • Deliver speech and language therapy services as outlined in the treatment plan created by the supervising SLP.
   • Work with clients of various ages and needs, including children, adults, and individuals with developmental delays or disabilities.
   • Facilitate activities that improve articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
4. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and client progress.
   • Provide feedback to the supervising SLP regarding client performance and responses to interventions.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
6. • Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
   • Participate in team meetings to review progress and adapt therapy strategies as needed.
7. Administrative Support:
8. • Assist in preparing materials and resources for therapy sessions.
   • Help manage schedules, maintain therapy records, and organize documentation.
9. Compliance and Ethical Standards:
10. • Adhere to state regulations and ethical guidelines for SLPAs as defined by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
    • Maintain client confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting, or a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with relevant training.
• Licensure/Certification: Current SLPA license issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners.
• Experience: Previous experience as an SLPA or in a related field is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

• Work will take place in your own private office ina comfortable clinic setting.
