POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Slot Technician I

Department: Slot Performance

Reports to: Slot Technician Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Slot Technician is responsible to repair, maintain and participate in the movement of any slot related equipment.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.

2. Must be able to install locks

3. Must be able to replace and asset/address player tracking hardware and related components

4. Must be able to replace EGD peripherals (i.e. printer, bill validator, monitors)

5. Must be able to perform general maintenance and troubleshooting on EGD’s and related components

6. Must be able to run SDS reports for the EGD’s

7. Must be able to conduct preventive maintenance on EGD’s and related equipment

8. Must be able to assist during the scheduled drop of EGD’s

9. Must be able to accurately read the paytable of all platforms

10. Must be able to respond to Slot Technician floor calls and Slot Attendant floor calls when required by business volume

11. Must be responsible for repairing and maintaining all slot-related equipment on the casino floor and tech shop

12. Must be able to participate in the installation, movement, removal, and reconfiguration of EGD’s and slot-related equipment

13. Must be able to accurately maintain proper gaming logs in order to comply with the State and internal regulations.

14. Must have knowledge of all special events and promotional activities

15. Must be able to adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same

16. Must be able to handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships

17. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs & Tech Level Certification.

18. Must be able to accurately read and navigate menus on all game platforms

19. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Exposed to an environment of varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to work in smoking environment.
  • Must be able to work in a gaming environment with bright/flashing lights, crowds and above average noise levels.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be able to do some troubleshooting and work on computers.
  • Must have good communication skills.
Knowledge:
  • 2 years Electronics degree preferred or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance preferred.
  • Must be able to write technical statements.
  • Must be able to read simple instructions and schematics.
Other:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming License.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.
  • Must complete all required company training.
