Job summary

Caesars Entertainment in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced Slot Technician Supervisor to oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and machine overhauls on the casino floor. You will supervise daily operations, establish training, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safety and efficiency.

Strong electrical, schematic, and teamwork skills are essential, as is flexibility to work weekends and holidays. This role requires 5+ years in slots and 3+ years in supervision, plus knowledge of SDS systems

Qualifications

  • Five years' experience in slots.
  • Three years of direct supervision in slot repair.
  • Knowledge of slot machines, change machines, and coin wrappers.
  • Ability to read schematics, circuits, and blueprints.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willing to work any day and any shift, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the daily operations of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Administer approved changes within the department relating to personnel, hiring, promotions, demotions, and discharges policies and procedures, subject to the Slot Performance Manager and Slot Director’s approval.
  • Establish required training programs for all slot technicians.
  • Maintain open lines of communications as well as counsel.
  • Guide and instruct slot technicians to obtain maximum efficiency.
  • Monitor all slot overhaul maintenance programs and assure proper procedures are used by all personnel.
  • Monitor slot repair parts inventory and expenditures.
  • Perform all other duties as requested by the Slot Performance Manager and Slot Director.

Job description

Job Summary

Performs all repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance to ensure maximum performance and condition of all slot machines. This includes special projects and overhauling machines. Guides and instructs slot technicians to obtain maximum efficiency.

How You Will Create the Extraordinary
  • Supervise and direct the daily operations of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Administer approved changes within the department relating to personnel, hiring, promotions, demotions, and discharges policies and procedures, subject to the Slot Performance Manager and Slot Director’s approval
  • Establish required training programs for all slot technicians
  • Maintain open lines of communications as well as counsel
  • Guide and instruct slot technicians to obtain maximum efficiency
  • Maintain a close liaison with vendors regarding problem areas with machines and conversions when required
  • Monitor all slot overhaul maintenance programs and assure proper procedures are used by all personnel
  • Monitor slot repair parts inventory and expenditures
  • Perform all other duties as requested by the Slot Performance Manager and Slot Director. Conduct self always in a manner that reflects positively on Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same
What You Will Need
  • Minimum of five (5) years of actual technical experience in Slots
  • Minimum of three (3) years direct supervision with progressively increasing levels of responsibility authority in the slot repair department
  • Must have a working knowledge of all the several types of slot machines, change machines, coin wrappers, and any other equipment associated with slot repair
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, electric circuitry, and blueprints
  • Work requires ability to work on integrated circuits, computers, coin rollers and sorters, test equipment, and install/repair S.D.S. (slot data system), plus a fundamental knowledge of electronics
  • Must possess effective communication and customer service skills
  • Must be willing to work any day of the week and any shift, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to have a good relationship with co-workers and work as a team

Must present a well-groomed appearance

Additional Requirements
  • Must be minimum 21 years of age
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Building Profile, NV & Gaming License, NV
Physical Job Requirements
  • Work is performed on the casino floor or in a shop area
  • Work may be performed in areas that are unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminated
  • May work with solvents/oils, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic devices, and computer equipment
  • May be exposed to fumes/odors, dirt and dust
  • Constant contact with staff and guests
  • Requires mobility to include occasional sitting, crawling, climbing, balancing; frequent, walking, reaching overhead from floor to 6ft., pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying over 100 lbs., standing, bending over, crouching, kneeling, repetitive use of both hands with light and firm grasping and finger dexterity
  • Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. with the use of a mechanical lift
  • Use of power tools and electronic equipment
  • Use of radio, calculator, computer, and telephone
  • Normal vision range and absence of color blindness
  • Tolerance of or use of cleaning/lubricating chemicals
