Job summary

Cache Creek Casino Resort seeks a Slot Tech Manager to lead the technical division of the Slot Department and ensure clean, compliant maintenance of gaming equipment. You will hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff while directing preventative maintenance and project work on the casino floor.

The role requires a minimum of five years’ related experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with strong leadership, communications, and MS Office skills. AutoCAD experience is a plus.

SUMMARY

To ensure that all gaming equipment meets state and property Compliance requirements as well as being clean and in good working order. Create an exciting place to play and work to keep harmony between departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Directs and oversees all duties performed by Slot Tech Shift Managers, Slot Tech Supervisors, Preventative Maintenance Technicians, and Slot Technicians.

Responsible for hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluating all technicians and preventative maintenance technicians.

Directs and oversees the overall maintenance and performance of casino gaming equipment.

Remain up to date on all advances in technology, including training and best practices for Slot Technical department employees.

Responsible for machine moves, installations, removals, conversions, and repairs. This includes any needed communication with internal and external organizations to ensure projects are completed within regulatory guidelines.

Schedule all property aspects of casino game projects. Acts as a liaison between vendors and property departments.

Assist with maintaining, creating, and modifying AutoCAD drawings of the gaming floor.

Communicates clearly and regularly the department goals and expectations to Slot Technical department employees.

Prepares regular reports on the status of department. Including: key performance indicators as determined by department management, employee morale, technical skill levels of employees, staffing requirements, and game performance recommendations.

Ensures the department adheres to the approved budget and alerts department management of purchases or expenses that may exceed the approved budget.

Responsible for maintaining a department manual.

Ensures compliance with company standards and gaming regulations. Enforces departmental policies and procedures.

Provide exceptional guest service and display the R.I.C.H. values and 3 E’s of Cache Creek Casino Resort to all guests and employees

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises all employees within the technical division of the Slot Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must have a minimum of 5 years related experience; Bachelor’s degree (B.A); or equivalent of experience and education. Needs to have strong computer skills, the ability to utilize MS Office applications, along with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. To perform all aspects of this job a comprehensive knowledge of multiple applications and software is required. The Slot Tech Manager must have working knowledge of applications for data analysis, inventory management, employee management and gaming operations management. Strong guest service and teamwork skills necessary to deliver superior casino resort experience to a diverse guest base. Display strong leadership qualities and the ability to serve both internal and external guests. Needs strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional manner. Needs the ability to maintain high confidentiality and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Needs to have the ability to coach, mentor, and support employees, while enforcing company policies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
