Job summary

Graton Resort & Casino is seeking a Slot Floor Supervisor to provide friendly, efficient service on the slot floor. You will supervise all slot machines and the slot floor Team Members, ensure Title 31 compliance, and communicate issues to management.

You will organize shifts, coach staff, maintain cash controls, and promote guest relations while upholding company standards and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication with Guests, Team Members and Management.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Three years of gaming experience with a focus on slots preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Basic math and money handling skills.
  • Follows safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Thorough understanding of Title 31 requirements and related logs.
  • Adheres to Responsible Gaming Guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the operation of all slot machines and the performance of slot floor Team Members.
  • Organize shift assignments, break schedules and staffing levels.
  • Coach Team Members to improve performance, productivity and promotions.
  • Promote positive guest relations and service standards.
  • Maintain cash controls and report variances; verify payouts.
  • Notify management of down games and unusual activity; communicate across the casino.
  • Directly supervise all slot floor Team Members on the assigned shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Provide friendly, efficient service to guests while on the slot floor. Supervises the operation of all slot machines and performance of slot floor Team Members in assigned area, and communicates with Slot Assistant Shift Manager or above of any guest and/or Team Member problems. Properly implement all Title 31 procedures, and safeguard the Company's assets. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  1. 1. Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's Company-wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino's Service Standards at all times.
  2. 2. Supervise the operation of all slot machines and performance of slot floor Team Members in assigned area, and communicate with Slot Assistant Shift Manager or above of any guest and/or Team Member problems.
  3. 3. Facilitate training, disciplinary action, evaluation and reward of subordinate Team Members. Maintain the highest quality standards in all areas of guest service and hospitality and developing players.
  4. 4. Organize the assigned shift and area including: daily Team Member assignments, Team Member break schedules and staffing levels.
  5. 5. Coach Team Members in his/her span of control to maintain and improve on expected levels of performance, promotion and productivity by using positive motivation.
  6. 6. Instill an atmosphere that encourages Team Members to share ideas, discuss concerns and resolve conflicts.
  7. 7. Verify slot pay outs (jackpots, fills, etc.) and bank buying/selling. Maintain control of funds within the department.
  8. 8. Notify the Slot Technical Team of down games and E-Drops.
  9. 9. Inform Shift Manager of all noteworthy, suspicious, or unusual activity. Facilitate the communication of information throughout the casino.
  10. 10. Supervise count in/count out of change banks and booths when variances occur, also record and track variances, and check voids.
  11. 11. Comply with signatory controls, including jackpot/fill tickets, check in/check out sheets verification, transfer or buy sheets verification, Title 31 paperwork, paid in/out slips, key control logs, radio sign out logs and daily sign in sheets.
  12. 12. Make recommendations and suggestions to hire and promote team members in his/her span of supervision.
  13. 13. Promote all departmental and property-wide promotions.
  14. 14. Promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service. Create an atmosphere of fun for all casino guests.
  15. 15. Maintain current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as the property's internal controls, policies and procedures.
  16. 16. Directly supervise all slot floor Team Members on an assigned shift.
  17. 17. Efficiently process all requests for overrides on jackpots and fills.
  18. 18. Keep work areas neat, clean and safe.
  19. 19. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  1. 1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  2. 2. High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  3. 3. Three (3) years of experience in gaming, with a concentration in slots, preferred.
  4. 4. Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  5. 5. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  6. 6. Have basic math skills.
  7. 7. Have proficient money handling skills.
  8. 8. Follows all safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment for guests and Team Members.
  9. 9. Have thorough understanding of Title 31 requirements, including, but not limited to: MTLs and CTRC-Ns, logging requirements, and all acceptable currency transactions.
  10. 10. Follow all Responsible Gaming Guidelines, including, but not limited to: self-limiting requests and checking identification for individuals who appear under 30 years old.

Physical Requirements:

  1. 1. Ability to bend, kneel, reach and lift bags of coins weighing up to 25 pounds when accessing or filling booth bank. Ability to push or pull buy cart weighing in excess of 300 pounds.
  2. 2. Ability to stand or walk for duration of shift.
  3. 3. Ability to hear radio transmissions and communicate clearly on radio.
  4. 4. Have the manual dexterity necessary to work with computer keyboard, currency counter, coin counting machine, telephone, hand held radio, machine locks, and small tools.
