Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Slot Technician to diagnose and repair slot machines, with strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic components. The role includes training junior technicians and performing conversions or firmware upgrades as needed.

Responsibilities include device installation/removal, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting ticket-in/ticket-out systems, and ensuring compliance with gaming regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have good communications skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have electronic background or minimum two-year experience in slot operations.
• Must have two or more years’ experience in the Gaming Industry or a similar customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to a variety of customer service related issues.
• Repair and maintenance of circuit boards/electronic circuitry in gaming devices.
• Install and remove gaming devices.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and troubleshoot ticket-in/ticket-out systems and coin machines.
• Assist in game conversions and firmware upgrades.
• Investigate and verify ticket issues.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and calibration of currency validators.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on slot machines and related devices.
• Adhere to Indiana Gaming Regulations and company policies.
