Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must have coordination, supervising, instruction, precision, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Record jackpots on MTL forms and verify related taxes/disputes.
  • Know how to use Keywatcher and related keys.
  • Monitor team behavior and direct breaks and job functions.
  • Interact with internal and external guests to provide optimal service.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administer department policies affecting slot play and payouts.
  • Make sure supplies exist in sufficient quantities, are readily accessible to slot associates, and ensure the slot floor is clean.
  • Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive clear speaking voice. Troubleshoot guests’ concerns regarding data entered into our tracking system. Answer questions and offer assistance to provide guest satisfaction.
  • Provide team members with clear direction for promotional procedures, tournament rules, times and locations, events on property, Title 31 procedures, guest service, etc.
  • Train and monitor team members and their performance to ensure company guidelines and procedures are followed.
  • Complete all paperwork (including electronic paperwork) – i.e., inventories, task board, logs, shops, associate variances, team member reviews, team member call ins/tardies, early outs, over time, disciplinary action, and all departmental communications as well as any other necessary administrative duties. Complete PINs for issues and variances.
  • Record jackpots on MTL forms according to Title 31 procedures.
  • Verify taxable jackpots, manual jackpots, tax withheld jackpots, and disputes. Provide backup where needed.
  • Know how to use Keywatcher and know what all keys are for.
  • Monitor team member behavior, direct breaks, and job functions to ensure proper guest service is provided. Direct team in proper job functions and guest interactions. Assign associates to work areas on road maps.
  • Make frequent contact with both internal and external guests to provide optimal service. This includes contact with various GSR departments in an effort to provide/obtain pertinent information needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Basic computer knowledge to access/ input information and read/respond to email in order to perform job functions and assist guests.
  • Learn and understand slot operating systems (Kronos – including Konetic mobile dispatch, HotSOS, Everi, and XChange Explorer).
  • Must possess sufficient mathematical skills needed to verify jackpots, MTLs, disputes, etc.
  • Ability of complex reading, writing, math and task completion skills is required.
  • Must have the following skills: coordination, supervising, instructing, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 2 years’ slot operations and supervisory experience is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
  • Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently sitting, standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
  • Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry 75lbs or less frequently.
  • The team member will frequently have repetitive use of both feet and hands and require frequent light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.
  • Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment, electrical devices, vibrations, and other mechanical devices.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • Team Member may be exposed to odor and/or secondhand smoke.
