Job summary

Gildan is seeking a 1st shift slotting coordinator to maintain and coordinate slotting in the Packing department, ensuring inventory sits in correct locations for fast retrieval and accurate picking.

You will re-slot products ahead of orders to boost workflow and reduce picking time, maintain inventory accuracy daily, and use PKMS/WMS to verify compliance with standards while supporting operations and physical inventories.

Qualifications

• Experience with PKMS/WMS systems or equivalent is required.
• Excellent reading, writing and basic math skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and coordinate slotting in the Packing department for cost‑efficient operations.
• Re-slot products to improve future order workflow and reduce picking time.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by reviewing locations and daily/weekly requirements.
• Execute slotting tasks using PKMS/WMS and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support operations by assisting specialists and material handlers; back up as needed.
• Participate in physical inventory activities.

Job description

This 1st shift position is responsible maintaining and coordinating all slotting processes in a cost-efficient manner, ensuring inventory are stored in the correct locations for easy retrieval, accurate picking, and efficient delivery within the Packing department Active Picking rack locations.

Maximize picking efficiency: Re-slot products in advance of future orders to improve workflow and reduce picking time.

Inventory accuracy: Maintain correct product system locations and review daily/weekly inventory against requirements

Process execution: Use warehouse management systems (PKMS) to execute slotting tasks and verify compliance with company standards

Support operations: Assist specialists and material handlers; back up when needed; participate in physical inventory.

Proficiency with PKMS/WMS systems; ability to read , write, and perform basic math.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities; ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
