Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Slot Cleaner to support the Warehouse team in Brattleboro, VT. You will help maintain clean, safe aisles and product slots, assist with sanitation and general housekeeping to meet food safety standards.

The role includes cleaning duties, use of cleaning equipment, and moving products with pallet jacks. Training is provided, and benefits begin from day one. 1st shift, hourly pay of $21, with travel Not required.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Must learn to operate necessary equipment and cleaning tools.
• Knowledge of food safety handling requirements preferred.
• Reliable with good attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to maintain productivity and use cleaning supplies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain warehouse aisles and slots.
• Clean spills and damaged product using cleaning tools.
• Move products with pallet jack and scrub slots; replace product.
• Clean offices and break areas; empty trash; vacuum.
• Maintain restrooms with disinfectants and ensure facilities are tidy.
• Ensure fire extinguishers are accessible and lights/doors are secure.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

As a Slot Cleaner, you will be acting as sanitation support for the Warehouse team and play a primary role in ensuring the warehouse is in compliance with any/all food safety handling requirements.

Job Description

• Earn $21.00 per hour


• Shift: 1st shift


• Location:47 Old Ferry Road, Brattleboro VT, 05301

You will contribute by:

• Clean and maintain warehouse aisles and product slots


• Clean spills including damaged product, oil, grease, broken glass, etc. May require use of sawdust, brooms, mops, or shovels


• Frequently, pull product out of the slot with a pallet jack and clean slot with cleaning supplies and electric scrubber and replace product


• May break areas and offices when necessary.


• Collecting and baling plastic wrap throughout your shift.


• May clean warehouse offices and employee break areas: empty trash cans, clean windows, vacuum carpeted offices, collect paper and empty boxes


• May clean and maintain warehouse restrooms through use of disinfecting products when necessary


• Clean fire extinguishers. Ensure lights are turned off and doors are locked when appropriate


• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Ability to operate required materials handling equipment (MHE). Must be able to use necessary cleaning supplies. Excellent time management skills.


• Physical abilities: : Never balancing. Occasionally climbing up to 4 ft. (Must have fall protection training and using proper fall protection equipment). Occasionally smelling, kneeling, crawling, pivoting, crouching, fingering, feeling and talking. Frequently standing and walking on surface type (s): Carpet, tile, concrete. Frequently sitting and stooping. Frequently reaching (level: Waist/overhead, etc.). Frequently handling, carrying, pushing, lifting and pulling up to 60 Lbs. Continuously seeing, hearing and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must be able to stand or walk on concrete floors throughout your scheduled shift, with occasional overtime.
