Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a slot attendant on the Greenville slot floor. You will engage guests, greet them warmly, and support casino gaming operations with fast, friendly service and accurate jackpot handling.

Responsibilities include cash handling, paperwork for jackpots, and maintaining excellent guest relations while balancing cash at the end of shifts in a busy casino environment.

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

Ensures slot guests are kept in play by experiencing a range of fast and friendly slot service through well maintained machines, change service, and promotion of customer programs and events; such as the Premiere Club, slot tournaments, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively patrols assigned sections looking for opportunities to be of service to our guests.
• Sincerely greets and welcomes all guests on the slot floor.
• Celebrates any win by the guests.
• Completes paper fills and jackpots promptly, accurately and with a high degree of personalized service.
• Completes verification paperwork for jackpot payouts.
• Maintains a good relationship with the cage team members to help execute slot transactions.
• Offers assistance to slot playing guest’s and explains features of the slot machine when necessary including the ticket in/ticket out technology.
• Determines machine malfunctions and identifies appropriate actions.
• Corrects machine malfunctions (e.g. coin jams, printer errors, bill validators, etc.)
• Performs cash handling transactions such as paying jackpots and making change.
• Must keep and maintain the integrity of, and balance cash wallets at the end of shift.
• Always promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems, to collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.

Money handling experience a plus.
