Job summary

Freudenberg Performance Materials LP (USA) in Durham, NC is seeking an Operator II to support production, perform slitting and finishing operations, and monitor processes to meet customer specifications. You will set up equipment, adjust speeds and tensions, document production records, and assist with changeovers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in nonwoven or textile production.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft business applications.
• Familiarity with process control systems, quality checks, and inspection.
• Prior Slitter machine operation experience required.
• Must be able to read a ruler and understand fractions, and demonstrate basic math skills.
• Must be able to work well with others and in a diverse workforce environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Operator II duties including production support, inspection, material handling, and finishing operations.
• Operate and monitor slitting and winding equipment to meet specs.
• Set up slitting equipment for speeds, dimensions, tensions, and lengths.
• Monitor quality and correct deviations.
• Support troubleshooting for slitting and finishing with maintenance teams.
• Document production records and update systems.
• Assist with transitions and changeovers in slitting operations.
• Provide hands-on guidance to team members.
• Uphold safety, process integrity, and operational consistency.
• Perform other duties within slitting and production scope.
