Job summary

Klöckner & Co SE is seeking a Slitting Line Assistant to support the Operator and ensure productivity, quality, and yield on the slitting line. You may substitute for the Operator during training periods, absenteeism, or vacations.

Responsibilities include material handling, following instructions, logging downtime in Steel II, assisting with setup verification, performing quality checks with measuring tapes, and engaging in ongoing training to become proficient in operating the line.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurement and calculations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in a production process, preferably in the metals industry.
• Knowledge of reading measuring devices.
• Basic computer knowledge for system interactions and data entry.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.
