Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Slitting Line Assistant to support the Operator and help maintain optimal productivity, quality, and yield on the slitting line. You may substitute for the Operator during training periods, absenteeism, or vacations, helping ensure continuous production.

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Basic math for measurement and calculations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in a production process, preferably in the metals industry.
• Knowledge of reading measuring devices.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and system interactions.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination (vision, hearing, mobility).
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.

Responsabilidades

• Material Handling: Collect and move material to and from the machine.
• Instruction Adherence: Follow production instructions provided by the Operator.
• System Logging: Log into Steel II and enter downtime codes accurately.
• Setup Verification: Assist in verifying machine setups throughout production.
• Quality Checks: Periodically measure dimensions to ensure accuracy.
• Skill Development: Participate in continuous training to become proficient as an Operator.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Collect and move material to and from the machine efficiently
• Instruction Adherence: Follow production instructions provided by the paired Operator
• System Logging: Log into Steel II and accurately enter downtime codes as required
• Setup Verification: Assist in verifying machine setups throughout the production process
• Quality Checks: Periodically measure dimensions with a measuring tape to ensure accuracy
• Skill Development: Engage in continuous training to become a proficient Operator, adhering to established procedures.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Reliability: Demonstrated reliable work history
