Job summary

Steel Warehouse of Wisconsin LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a dependable Slitter Helper to assist with the operation of steel slitting equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will support the slitter operator with setup and production runs, load and unload steel coils, band, package, and label finished products, and inspect materials for quality.

A focus on safety and maintaining a clean work area is required, along with following all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to read a tape measure and micrometers.
• Forklift or crane experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist slitter operator with setup and production runs.
• Load and unload steel coils and finished material.
• Band, package, and label finished products.
• Inspect materials for quality issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
