Job summary

New Process Metal Solutions is seeking a Slitter Setup Operator for the 3rd shift to set up and run slitting lines to customer specs. You will load coils, install tooling, verify setups, and monitor product quality in a fast-paced metal processing environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with slitting equipment, tooling, and precision measurements, plus a strong safety mindset and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating slitting equipment.
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and specs.
• Familiar with tooling, spacers, and knives for widths and tolerances.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and quality documentation.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set up slitting equipment per production schedules and specs.
• Install tooling, spacers, and knives for correct widths.
• Verify setups using work orders and quality records.
• Load coils and prepare equipment for production runs.
• Perform material inspections and ensure product quality.
• Troubleshoot setup and production issues to minimize waste.
• Complete production reports and documentation.
• Communicate changes and quality concerns clearly with the team.
• Operate forklifts and cranes safely; maintain tidy work area.
