Frey Consulting Group has an opening for a Slitter Set-Up Associate on the second shift in Butler, Indiana. You will prepare slitter knives, verify correct material, and support safe operation of the slitter line in a hands-on production environment.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing or steel-processing experience and is willing to learn all slitter functions. The role requires standing for a 10-hour shift and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, steel-processing, or metalworking is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and setup instructions precisely.
• Willingness to learn all functions of the slitter operation and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up slitter knives according to production work orders.
• Verify that setups are completed accurately before production begins.
• Ensure correct steel and material are loaded for each job.
• Assist with safe loading and positioning of material into the slitter.
• Collaborate with the Slitter Operator throughout setup and production.
• Learn all slitter line functions and support other areas as needed.
• Monitor setup accuracy and identify potential issues before production.
• Follow safety procedures around steel and equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Support other production duties when setup work is not required.
