Perfect Placement Group is recruiting for a Slitter Operator at a steel processing facility in Butler, Indiana. This is a direct-hire position with a core four 10-hour day schedule on first and second shifts, with overtime possible on Fridays.

You will operate a slitting line, perform equipment and safety checks, and monitor speed, tension, blade alignment, and product quality. A stable long-term opportunity with a family-owned environment awaits an experienced candidate.

Qualifications

• Reading work instructions and production specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read measurements.
• Basic computer comfort.
• Strong attention to detail and safety minded.
• Ability to work as part of a production team.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment and safety checks before production.
• Set up and operate steel slitting equipment.
• Read work instructions and production specifications.
• Monitor cutting speed, tension, blade alignment, and product quality.
• Use hydraulic controls and machine settings.
• Identify equipment or quality issues before they become larger problems.
• Work with setup personnel and other production staff.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
