Compensation: $26.92 per hour (+$2 per hour shift differential)
Schedule: 3rd shift Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
A Brief Summary Of This Position
The Slitter Operator 7 positions coils for slitting and operates the entry side of the machine from Operator stations 1 and 2. This position also performs set up on the slitter arbors. This includes using setup software correctly, building, and inspecting arbors once setup. Checks horizontal and vertical clearances. Sets up separator discs and spacers to ensure proper fan out on the overarm.
Operates uncoiler, hold-down roller, peeler table, flattener roller, crop shear, pinch rolls, side guides, & slitter head. This position may also support operations by transporting coils to the mills using a shag truck and trailer. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with quality control standards. This role provides a clear growth path, with the opportunity to advance to Slitter Operator 9 within two years.
