Job summary

Technipaq, Inc. in Cary, IL is seeking a Slitter Machine Operator for the 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm, M-F). You will operate the slitter to support press, lamination, and pouch departments.

The role requires basic measurement skills, ability to stand all shift, lift up to 65 lbs, and pass ruler tests. ISO experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in any complex mechanical work or 1+ year as a machine operator
• Must be at least 18 and able to pass reading and ruler testing
• Able to measure to 1/16 inch with ruler (pass ruler test)
• Able to stand for the entire shift and lift up to 65 lbs in a manufacturing setting
• ISO experience in manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred but not required
• Lamination, packaging or pharmaceutical experience preferred but not required
• We will train

Job description

Shift: 1st Shift (Cary Location) 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, M-F

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ yrs doing any complex Mechanical (i.e. taking cars, machines apart, replacing engines or transmissions, etc). OR 1+ years of machine operator experience is required
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass our reading and ruler testing
• Make and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 of an inch (must pass a pre-employment ruler test)
• Ability to be on your feet and stand/walk for entire shift.
• Physically fit with no restrictions and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs; push, pull, maneuver very large rolls of materials weighing several hundred pounds with the use of equipment on a daily basis. Must be able to squat, bend, crouch, and kneel. Must be able to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors.
• Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred
• Previous lamination, packaging or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but NOT required,
