About this opportunity

Position: Slitter Operator

As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all slitting machines according to company procedures and guidelines. Your duties include reading orders properly, ensuring raw materials are available, and following all Quality and Food Safety procedures. You will also assist in other departmental areas and complete tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

What you will do

• Operate Slitter / Rewinders
• Develop technical skills for all job responsibilities related to slitter/winder operation, including machine setup, quality inspections, minimizing waste, and maximizing productivity.
• Ensure quality through accurate production reporting, roll labeling, and documentation, along with basic machine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean work area and set an example in quality, housekeeping, and productivity.
• Assist in other department areas and complete tasks assigned by the shift supervisor.

• Ability to read and understand instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Compliance with Food Safety & Quality System processes and 5S.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Safe operation of equipment at all times.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan and perform multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
• Completion of tracking forms and adherence to ergonomic requirements.
