Job summary

ProAmpac is hiring a Slitter Operator for the Night Shift (8:00pm–8:00am) at our Cincinnati, OH facility. You will run a slitter machine safely, producing quality film and meeting production schedules, while maintaining a clean work area.

The role requires at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, good math and measurement skills, and the ability to work in a team or independently. Overtime may be required; medical and retirement benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Math, measurement, and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the slitter machine to produce film.
• Read, understand and follow work instructions to meet production standards.

We have openings for Slitter Operator (Night Shift: 8:00pm to 8:00am). In this role, you will operate a slitter machine in a safe manner and produce quality product with minimal scrap, meet production schedules and keep work area clean.

Additionally, You Will Be Responsible For The Following

• Run Equipment : you will run the slitter machine to create film. You will perform any light maintenance that is needed on assigned machine and communicate any major issues to supervisor/lead.
• Follow Instructions: you will read, understand and follow all work instructions to produce product that meet standards (production, scrap and quality).
• Ensure Compliance: you will ensure departmental compliance with all certification requirements and will maintain good housekeeping practices in accordance with AIB/ISO standards. You will maintain quality of products being produced at or above the required specifications.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1-year manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong math, measurement and attention to detail skills
• Ability to work well in a team and as an independent contributor
• Must be able to work Overtime
• Have basic mechanical skills
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
