Job summary

ProAmpac in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator to support production of twisted paper used in bags and wicker furniture. You will move rolls with a clamp truck, load rolls into machines, and operate overhead cranes as needed.

You must read measuring tools to set blade sizes, have previous manufacturing experience, and be able to work overtime including Saturdays/holidays. The shift is 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with later times for overtime.

Qualifications

• Must understand how to read measuring tools to set up cutting blades in proper sizes.
• Previous manufacturing machine operator experience required; clamp truck experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work overtime, including Saturdays and holidays.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Must lift 2–50 lbs as needed and tolerate hot, humid conditions.

Responsibilities

• Move rolls of paper using a clamp truck.
• Load paper rolls into machines.
• Operate overhead crane when needed to lift rolls.
• Complete daily production log.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties:

• Use clamp truck to move rolls of paper




• Load paper roll into machine




• Operator an overhead crane when needed to lift rolls




• Complete daily production log




• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• MUST understand how to read a measuring tool to set up cutting blades in the proper combination of sizes




• Previous manufacturing machine operator experience REQUIRED and clamp truck experience a plus




• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and/or holidays




• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time




• Must be able to lift 2-8 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds periodically




• Must be able to tolerate hot, humid work conditions




• Must adhere to company policies, safety rules and wear PPE

The hours are 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM. Overtime will require later ending times of 12:00 AM or 1:00 AM. This position is a temporary to hire position.
