Job summary

ProAmpac Greensboro site, a leading paper yarn producer, is hiring a Manufacturing Operator for the 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift. This temp-to-hire role involves moving rolls with a clamp truck and, when needed, operating an overhead crane to lift heavy loads.

You will complete daily production logs, follow safety rules, read measuring tools to set blade sizes, and perform other duties as assigned. Overtime, Saturdays and holidays may be required; we offer a comprehensive benefits package and an

Qualifications

• Must understand how to read a measuring tool to set up cutting blades in the proper sizes.
• Previous manufacturing machine operator experience required; clamp truck experience a plus.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and/or holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must adhere to safety rules and wear PPE.

Essential Duties:

• Use clamp truck to move rolls of paper

• Load paper roll into machine

• Operator an overhead crane when needed to lift rolls

• Complete daily production log

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• MUST understand how to read a measuring tool to set up cutting blades in the proper combination of sizes

• Previous manufacturing machine operator experience REQUIRED and clamp truck experience a plus

• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and/or holidays

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

• Must be able to lift 2-8 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds periodically

• Must be able to tolerate hot, humid work conditions

• Must adhere to company policies, safety rules and wear PPE

The hours are 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM. Overtime will require later ending times of 12:00 AM or 1:00 AM. This position is a temporary to hire position.
