Classic Packaging Company in Pfafftown, NC is seeking a full-time Slitter Operator to support the 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:00pm). The role assists the Slitter operator, ensuring safety, quality, and GMP adherence in daily production.

Responsibilities include maintaining production levels, verifying materials, checking safety functions, and completing paperwork accurately. Benefits and equal opportunity employment are offered.

• Check all the machines’ safety functions at the beginning of their shift to ensure the machine is safe to operate.
• Quality must be checked at each restart of the machine.
• All paperwork and computer entries must be complete and accurate.
• Verify correct materials are being used for each job.
• Check quality of rolls as they finish on the slitter and palletize.
• Keep Slitter area clean and orderly.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Safely operate a variety of material moving equipment like pallet jacks, hoists to transport and lift materials finished products.
• Perform any other job duties as assigned by shift supervisor.

Job Overview

This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Classic Packaging procedures and policies. Assists the Slitter Machine operator in the operation of the Slitter.

Duties

Includes, but not limited to the following:

• Maintain acceptable production levels and quality of product while operating machine in the safest manner possible.
• Must check all the machines’ safety functions at the beginning of their shift to ensure the machine is safe to operate.
• Quality must be checked at each restart of the machine.
• All paperwork and computer entries must be complete and accurate.

• Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Verify correct materials are being used for each job.
• Check quality of rolls as they finish on the slitter and palletize.
• Keep Slitter area clean and orderly.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Safely operate a variety of material moving equipment like pallet jacks, hoists to transport and lift materials finished products.
• Perform any other job duties as assigned by shift supervisor.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 -$18.00 per hour
