Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking an experienced Slipcover Sewer at our Claremont, NC distribution center. The role focuses on assembling and sewing high-end upholstery slipcovers, prioritizing quality and accuracy in following sewing instructions and production tickets.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of upholstery sewing experience, can read production tickets, and are able to interpret sewing manuals. Physical stamina is required to lift and maneuver bundles as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in production of upper-end upholstery fabric sewing in an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment.
  • Must have the ability to sew slipcovers.
  • Experience reading and understanding production tickets.
  • Ability to interpret simple sewing instructions commonly placed in a sewing manual.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble fabric pieces to complete each slipcover.
  • Produce top-notch quality sewing output.
  • Read and follow sewing instructions precisely.
  • Retrieve work from the Eton system as needed and sew the next kit.
  • After sewing, place bundles on the correct hanger on Eton.

The Slip Cover Sewing position is located in Claremont, NC.

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will....

  • Putting all fabric pieces together and parts to complete the entire slipcover.
  • Be able to produce top notch quality.
  • Be able to read and understand sewing instructions.
  • As work is needed, the sewer grabs work from the Eton system.
  • The sewer will sew the next flat sew kit.
  • After sewing, place the bundle in its proper place on Eton hanger.
