Alameda Health System is seeking an SLH Engineer Mechanic for San Leandro Hospital, internal-only position for current Alameda Health System employees. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing building and facilities systems, including electric, steam, water/sewage, and building operations systems.
Under general supervision, you will read blueprints, follow manuals, and ensure safety regulations are met.
Available to current Alameda Health System employees only
Under general supervision, the SLH Engineer Mechanic maintains and repairs building and facilities systems and equipment, including but not limited to, electric systems, steam systems, water and sewage systems, electronic alarm and building operations systems of medical institutions, and other buildings. Performs related duties as required.
NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification, however, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
Minimum Experience: The equivalent of 2years of full-time experience in maintenance and repair as a stationary engineer/Building Technicianor equivalent, responsible for the maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC and control systems.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a universal CFC (Chloro-Fluoro-Carbon) Certificate , mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency for servicing refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
