Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Sleep Technologist to perform comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and patient education. The role reports to medical leadership and oversees center staff as needed.

Candidates must have accredited sleep technology training and licensure or credential as RST/RSBS; strong communication, computer skills, and ability to follow safety

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology OR successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a sleep technician.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Sleep Study Preparation and Set-up
• Collect and analyze patient information to identify patient needs
• Verify medical orders and review patient history
• Apply electrodes and sensors; calibrate equipment
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events per AASM
• Generate accurate polysomnography reports
