Qualifications

Position Summary

Rex Neurology Sleep Laboratory is hiring a Sleep Tech II to perform standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic tests, including polysomnography, on patients. Primary work may be in a lab, clinic, bedside, or operating room. The role may also support other Sleep Disorders Labs if needed. Night shift differentials are eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to other technologists.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as EEG, EMG, NCV, evoked potentials, and polysomnography, including oxygen therapy and CPAP treatments.
• Set up and calibrate equipment in various settings.
• Read and score neurodiagnostic and polysomnographic tests.
• Take patient histories and instruct patients and families on test preparation, pre-test interviews, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an acceptable Neurophysiology program.
• Registered in EEG (R. EEG T., CLTM), EP (R. EP T.), Intra-Operative Monitoring (CNIM), NCV, Polysomnography (RPSGT), or as a Sleep Technologist (RST).
• High School Diploma plus two years of Sleep or Neurodiagnostic procedures experience if no Neurophysiology program completed.
