Qualifications

Base pay range

$27.00/hr - $41.00/hr

Description

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Med Ctr of the Rockies, US:CO:Loveland

Department: MCR Sleep Lab

FTE: Full Time, 0.8, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Pay: $27.61- $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:Provides care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for the arrival of the patient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test. Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.
• Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder that is noted.
• Scores, interprets and reports results of sleep studies. Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.
• Prepares, calibrates, repairs, and maintains equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED. Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or equivalent, or Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
