Job summary

Pivotal Health in Smithtown, NY is seeking a Sleep Technologist to deliver high-quality sleep diagnostics and patient care. The position offers full-time and part-time opportunities, with a sign-on bonus and competitive hourly pay.

Night shifts, weekend coverage, and growth opportunities are available as part of an expanding sleep medicine team. Ideal candidates hold an RPSGT (or pursue) and NY PSG/CRT/RRT licensure, plus BLS/CPR and immunizations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program.
• New York PSG license and/or CRT/RRT license required or eligible.
• BLS/CPR certification and immunizations as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures.
• Apply electrodes and monitoring equipment per standards.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and monitor data during sleep sessions.
• Score and analyze sleep, respiratory, and cardiac events.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with safety standards.

What You'll Do

As a Sleep Technologist, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring high-quality diagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies
• Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures
• Apply electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment according to industry standards
• Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment
• Monitor and evaluate patient physiological data throughout the night
• Perform PAP mask fittings and troubleshooting
• Score and analyze sleep, respiratory, and cardiac events
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory, regulatory, and safety standards
• Deliver outstanding patient-focused care and support

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Polysomnography Program
• Current New York PSG License and/or CRT/RRT License
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
• Required immunizations and health clearances
• Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Current RPSGT Certification
• Previous sleep laboratory experience
• Experience with PAP therapy and overnight sleep studies
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Candidates without an RPSGT credential must possess the required NY PSG and/or RT licensure.

CompensationPay Range

$40.00 - $53.00 per hour

Compensation is based on experience, credentials, and overall qualifications.

Additional earning opportunities available through productivity and scoring incentives.
