Job summary

Pivotal Health in Smithtown, NY is seeking a Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) to join our sleep diagnostics team. You will perform overnight polysomnography, monitor patient data, and ensure high-quality testing while supporting growth within a nationally recognized provider.

The ideal candidate holds NY PSG license/CRT/RRT, BLS, and accredited polysomnography training, with opportunities for a sign-on bonus and incentive compensation. Weekend night shifts available.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited polysomnography program.
• Current NY PSG license and/or CRT/RRT license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Immunizations and health clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures.
• Apply electrodes, sensors and monitoring equipment per standards.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment.
• Monitor patient data throughout the night.
• Perform PAP mask fittings and troubleshooting.
• Score and analyze sleep, respiratory and cardiac events.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver patient-focused care and support.

What You'll Do

As a Sleep Technologist, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring high-quality diagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies
• Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures
• Apply electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment according to industry standards
• Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment
• Monitor and evaluate patient physiological data throughout the night
• Perform PAP mask fittings and troubleshooting
• Score and analyze sleep, respiratory, and cardiac events
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory, regulatory, and safety standards
• Deliver outstanding patient-focused care and support

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Polysomnography Program
• Current New York PSG License and/or CRT/RRT License
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
• Required immunizations and health clearances
• Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Current RPSGT Certification
• Previous sleep laboratory experience
• Experience with PAP therapy and overnight sleep studies
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Candidates without an RPSGT credential must possess the required NY PSG and/or RT licensure.

Compensation

Pay Range

$40.00 - $53.00 per hour

Compensation is based on experience, credentials, and overall qualifications.

Additional earning opportunities available through productivity and scoring incentives.
