Job summary

Apria Healthcare LLC is seeking a frontline teammate to assist patients with home medical equipment. You will set up devices, instructions, and provide exceptional service to customers in their homes or at locations as needed.

Responsibilities include documenting interactions, resolving issues, and ensuring safety and insurance requirements are followed. A high school diploma and 2 years of in-person customer service are required.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $18.50 - $27.00 hourly. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for equipment setup and instruction while providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • May have to communicate or interact with patients of all ages.
  • Documents all interaction with patients/customers in their record.
  • Listens and resolves complaints and escalates to the appropriate personnel as warranted.
  • Preps for setups and sets equipment to prescribed therapy.
  • Identifies and provides appropriate interface for mask application.
  • Educates patients and other end users with relation to their home medical equipment use by covering mechanical operating features, fitting and application of apparatus, routine cleaning/disinfecting, warranty, and safety.
  • Demonstrations of equipment use may be provided to patients by using pictures, video, or on manikins (i.e., not touching the patient).
  • Answers inquiries and follows up with patients regarding technical issues with equipment.
  • Educate patients regarding any applicable insurance payor equipment utilization requirements.
  • Encourages patients with their therapy and compliance with equipment usage.
  • Promotes safe, effective patient and organizational environments and equipment use.
  • Collects and processes payments from patients.
  • Completes all paperwork relating to delivery, pick up, exchange, repair/replace, and additional forms as deemed necessary.
  • Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Two years in person customer service interaction required.
