Job summary

Highmark Health in Natrona Heights, PA is seeking a Sleep Technician to perform polysomnography exams and multiple sleep latency tests under licensed medical direction. Preferred candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, polysomnography coursework, and relevant credentials such as RPSGT or CRT. CPR/BCLS and background clearances are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all polysomnograms and MSLTs according to clinical practice guidelines, as well as departmental policy and procedures.
• Maintains proper calibration, quality control and analysis of all polysomnographic equipment.
• Organizes and prioritizes workload and scheduling of patient testing in an efficient and effective manner.
• Assists with billing documentation and maintains department records according to departmental policy/procedure.

Education

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy

Polysomnography course or sleep lab training program

Basic EEG course

RPSGT, CRT, RRT or LPN
