Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; RPSGT or RST credential within 1 year; CAAHEP accredited certification program or Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum eighteen months supervised training or experience in polysomnography.
• Credentials:AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Polysom Technologist License - NJ, RPSGT or RST.
• Knowledge: Basic computer skills and ability to use windows-based technical software.
• Mental and emotional: Ability to cooperate, multi-task, and remain composed in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient information and physician orders to determine testing parameters.
• Applies electrodes and recording devices according to sleep center policy.
• Prepares and calibrates CPAP/Bi-level equipment and monitors signals.
• Scores polysomnographic recordings and generates reports for interpretation.
• Maintains equipment, documentation, and patient records according to center procedures.
