Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Sleep Technologist to perform polysomnography acquisitions, score sleep tests, and assist in therapy decisions. The role involves 12-hour night shifts and responsibilities across the Sleep Center, with ongoing education and patient orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of NBRC-accredited program; license required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnography acquisitions per protocols while monitoring signal quality.
• Score sleep testing and generate study reports.
• Document observations to facilitate scoring and interpretation.
• Fit positive airway pressure masks as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate sleep center equipment.
• Educate patients about sleep testing and orient them to the center.
• Communicate with physicians regarding patients and testing procedures.
• Apply electrodes as ordered; assist in therapy decisions with supervisor.
• Analyze polysomnograms and prepare studies for storage/archiving.
• Train for scoring sleep studies and participate in meetings.
