Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a Sleep Technologist Scorer to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center and home sleep apnea testing. The role requires expertise in polysomnography, accurate sleep study scoring, and adherence to AASM standards to support diagnosis and patient care.

The Sleep Technologist Scorer will work under supervision of the Sleep Center Manager/Medical Director, maintain documentation, participate in quality improvement, and

Qualifications

• Education and experience aligned with sleep technology and scoring.
• Experience scoring in lab studies or home sleep studies with knowledge of AASM rules.

Responsibilities

• Score sleep studies according to the current AASM Scoring Manual Version.
• Analyze physiological data to identify sleep stages, respiratory events and abnormalities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR or designated systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols.
• Train new hires and trainees in scoring operations.
• Obtain/maintain polysomnographic licensure and continuing education credits.
