Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Sleep Studies Technician to assist with sleep studies under physician or sleep technologist supervision.

This full time position (0.9 FTE) supports night shift operations and requires a high school diploma, BLS/CPR within 30 days of hire, and ASTEP certification within two years. Applicants should have basic computer skills, strong communication, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current BLS/CPR card within 30 days of hire or by orientation end.
• ASTEP certification within two years of hire.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs and records routine patient assessments.
• Prepares equipment and monitors patients before, during, and after sleep studies.
• Assists sleep technologist in scoring sleep records and documenting test results.
• Complete timely documentation per policy.
• Maintain PHI privacy and security compliance.
• Communicate effectively with patients, team members and physicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
