Job summary

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group is seeking a Respiratory Care Coordinator – Sleep Specialist to plan, develop, and implement respiratory care programs for patients with sleep disorders and pulmonary conditions. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care or related field required
• Georgia Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• RRT or CRT certification required
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience in an acute clinical setting
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
• Experience with CPAP and BiPAP equipment
• Strong computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Educate patients in classroom and individual settings about sleep disorders and treatment options.
• Instruct patients on the use of home diagnostic sleep testing equipment.
• Review sleep study results and educate patients on findings.
• Educate patients on proper CPAP/BiPAP use.
• Coordinate referrals to sleep medicine and pulmonary care programs.
• Assist in planning, development, and implementation of respiratory care programs for sleep apnea and COPD.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to resolve sleep and pulmonary care issues.
• Conduct follow-up consultations with CPAP users to assess compliance and effectiveness.
• Communicate sleep study results and treatment recommendations to patients.
• Provide case management consultations for patients referred by physicians.
