Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Sleep Research Assistant to support a sleep research program at Bradley Hospital in Rhode Island. The SRA will assist with participant recruitment, prepare materials for in-lab studies, and help collect and organize actigraphy data under supervision.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, strong interpersonal skills, organization, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences.
• Experience with human volunteers and recruitment; familiarity with data management and Macintosh is a plus.
• Performs independently within department policies.

Responsibilities

• Attend study planning meetings and participate in participant recruitment activities.
• Prepare materials for in-lab studies and organize protocols and supplies.
• Conduct structured interviews with participants and families and assist with data entry.
• Collect actigraphy data and score according to standard protocols.
• Help maintain IRB materials and confidentiality throughout the study.
