Job summary
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist/Educator to join our sleep medicine team across campuses in New Jersey. This role provides comprehensive sleep clinical care and patient education under medical direction, with opportunities to assist telemedicine consults and diagnostic testing for inpatients and outpatients.
The ideal candidate has at least five years of sleep medicine experience, state licensure, and current CPR/BLS certification, plus certification
Qualifications
- Minimum five years' experience in sleep medicine.
- Proficient with standardized diagnostic tools (Epworth Sleepiness Scale, STOP-BANG, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index).
- Knowledge of Practice Parameters and Clinical Guidelines for sleep health and disorders.
- Demonstrate proficiency with medical terminology.
- Demonstrate understanding of sleep disorder pathophysiology and comorbidities.
- Ability to provide age-appropriate patient education and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide sleep clinical care and education to patients, families and the public.
- Assist with telemedicine consults, evaluation and testing.
- Perform diagnostic testing and home therapy planning as needed.
- Travel between campuses as required.
