Job summary

The Sleep Medicine Physician (Somnologist) at Luke Staffing will provide sleep medicine services at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) or Intrepid Spirit Center at Fort Bragg, NC, under a Defense Health Agency personal services contract.

The role involves diagnosing and treating sleep and breathing disorders, interpreting polysomnography, and collaborating with neurology and behavioral health teams.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from US/Canada or ECFMG for foreign grads
• Board eligible/certified in Sleep Medicine
• Unrestricted Somnologist license in US/DC/PR/territory
• BLS certification required
• ACGME/AOA sleep medicine internship/residency and sleep medicine fellowship
• US citizenship
• Tier III security investigation
• DEA registration if prescribing controlled substances

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat sleep and breathing disorders in outpatients
• Interpret polysomnography and related sleep tests
• Prescribe CPAP, bi-level, oxygen, meds, or behavioral therapies
• Provide expert PSG interpretation and neurocognitive assessments
• Collaborate with neurology and behavioral health teams
• Document notes in MHS Genesis within 3 business days
• Respond to beneficiary messages within 1 business day
• Educate interdisciplinary teams and supervise staff
