Job summary

ChristianaCare's Sleep Wellness Center in Newark, Delaware seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. The role focuses on outpatient sleep medicine with daytime clinic hours and opportunities for virtual visits.

You will evaluate and manage a wide range of sleep disorders and serve as a resource for sleep care guidance across the system. The ideal candidate has licensure as a NP or PA, board certification, prescriptive authority, and DEA

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid DE license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Must be board certified (ANCC/AANP for NPs & NCCPA for PAs) · Prescriptive Authority, DEA registration, BLS Required
• A minimum of two years’ clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive sleep-focused medical histories and physical examinations.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests including PSGs, HSATs, and nocturnal oxygen saturation.
• Develop and adjust individualized medical care plans for sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy.
• Prescribe appropriate medical equipment (CPAP, BiPAP) and medications as permitted by licensure.
• Educate patients and families on sleep hygiene and use of therapeutic devices.
• Manage patient calls, triage acute issues, and coordinate follow-up between visits
