Job summary

University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat patients in Sleep Medicine, coordinating communication among the health care team, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care.

You will also interact and coordinate efforts within the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. The role requires clinical leadership, comprehensive histories and exams, and collaboration with physicians to establish diagnoses and orders.

Qualifications

• MSN with NP program completed and Maryland license.
• APRN recognition within 6 months of hire.
• DEA and CDS eligible.
• CPR and BLS required; ACLS as required by department.
• Minimum one year RN experience preferred.
• Strong communication and professionalism in interactions with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership with the healthcare team.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations.
• Order, obtain, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Establish medical diagnoses in collaboration with attending MDs.
