Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Sleep Disorders Center seeks a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to conduct overnight sleep studies and assist in diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in adults and children.

The role involves patient preparation, applying monitoring equipment, educating patients on the sleep study process, and monitoring data throughout the night. BLS certification and BRPT guidelines are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Registered Polysomnography Technologist, BRPT guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing.
• Interview patient to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
• Perform and document testing.
• Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
• Instruct non-registered personnel and trainees; score, interpret and report sleep study results.
• Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment; report needed repairs/replacements; perform QA.
